Mildura contains a unique and diverse environment. Council has strong environmental management objectives which are outlined in the Mildura Rural City Strategic Plan and Environmental Management Plan. Council is actively working to protect and enhance the environment, working in conjunction with the community, conservation groups, industry, businesses, educational institutions, and landowners.

The City is also proud to be the home of extensive terrestrial biodiversity including the XYZ, ABC, etc... - all unique areas to the Mildura Rural City.

Environmental considerations form a key component of our corporate vision and decision-making processes. Our environmental policies are developed in consultation with representatives of local residents, businesses, government and environmental organisations.
